Miami: PG/SG Isaiah Wong

While Jordan Miller is a solid athlete for the position, and Nijel Pack is one of the best shooters in the country, Miller’s relatively low offensive ceiling and Pack’s diminutive size for a primarily off-ball guard makes Wong the clear choice here. Wong has led the Hurricanes on consecutive postseason runs.

The skinny 6-4 guard has averaged between 15.3 and 17.1 points per game in each of the last three seasons, making at least 43% of his shots along the way. Wong can create for himself at an above-average clip, and his propensity for hitting big-time shots will get teams interested.

Toronto Raptors draft: Isaiah Wong is a solid creator.

Wong is 185 pounds on the official depth chart, but he may have been carrying 15 pounds of sand in his pants during that weigh-in. On top of his slight frame, he is incredibly streaky. His 3-point percentage declined sharply for three straight seasons before jumping back up to 38% this year.

The ice-cool Wong is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes time to evaluate him, but teams in need of someone who is fearless with the ball in his hands would be wise to take a look at Wong and consider adding him to the roster as soon as possible.
