Raptors vs Celtics injury report for April 7: Is Jayson Tatum playing?
By Mike Luciano
The Toronto Raptors need to win their last two games of the season and have the Atlanta Hawks lose their remaining two games if they want any hope of escaping the 9-10 matchup in the play-in tournament. The loser of that game will be sent home anticlimactically.
The Raptors, who are currently dealing with two dueling PR nightmares in the Jeff Dowtin fiasco and the Nick Nurse departure rumors, could be considered as a team limping to the finish. Playing the elite Celtics is not going to help them in this endeavor.
The Raptors will need to give Bostin their best punch if they want to keep their fleeting hopes for the No. 8 seed alive. If not, Toronto may be relegated to do-or-die territory before their last game of the season back home against Milwaukee.
Is Gary Trent Jr. playing vs. Celtics?
Trent, who played in Toronto’s loss to Boston after missing the last six contests, is off the injury report. After a legendary performance in which he tore through the Celtics and lit them up for a whopping zero points, Trent will get another shot at them.
Is Jayson Tatum playing vs. Raptors?
Tatum is not on the injury report, meaning that he could suit up in this game. The Celtics may have Tatum active, but he likely won’t play a ton of minutes due to the fact Boston has their playoff future secured.

Toronto appears to be fully healthy for this game, with Otto Porter Jr. as the only player listed on the injury report. At this point, it’s easier to make a list of games where Porter is not on the injury report.

Marcus Smart, Payton Pritchard, Derrick White, and Malcolm Brogdon are all listed as questionable. With Boston having clinched the No. 2 seed already, they might not send out all of their best players in this game.
