Raptors vs Bulls injury report for Play-In Tournament: Is Fred VanVleet playing?
By Mike Luciano
Fred VanVleet and the Toronto Raptors will face an old friend in DeMar DeRozan as they try to defeat the Chicago Bulls in the NBA play-in tournament. A win would put the Raptors in a do-or-die game against the Miami Heat for the No. 8 seed, while a loss would end their season.
Toronto has played well against the Bulls this season, beating them twice in what turned out to be a very physical series of games. The postseason promises to be no different for a Toronto team that is going to bludgeon Chicago with their physicality as much as possible.
With both teams prioritizing defense and effort, this might end up being a low-scoring game that rewards whoever makes the fewest mistakes. Toronto will need a complete performance from their whole roster in order to stay alive in this one.
Is Fred VanVleet playing vs. Bulls?
VanVleet appears to be locked, loaded, and ready to go for the Raptors after some injury woes earlier in the season. It will be just short of impossible for Toronto to win this game without VanVleet putting on an absolute masterclass.
Is DeMar DeRozan playing vs. Raptors?
DeRozan is not listed on the injury report, setting up the opportunity to kick Masai Ujiri out of the postseason. DeRozan has struggled against the Raptors this season, largely due to the presence of steals champion OG Anunoby.

Toronto appears to be fully healthy for this game, with Otto Porter Jr. as the only player listed on the injury report. At this point, it’s easier to make a list of games where Porter is not on the injury report. Jeff Dowtin is also ineligible due to his two-way contract.

Like Toronto, Chicago only has to deal with one long-term injury in the form of Lonzo Ball, who hasn’t played all season long due to recurring knee troubles. Other than that, Chicago is locked and loaded.
