2. Naz Reid, Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves will likely do everything in their power to retain Reid, who has established himself as a high-end bench player that can be a contributor for years to come in Minnesota. That doesn’t mean teams won’t try everything to seduce him over to Toronto.

Reid is not the type of player that is going to be a high-volume dominator of the ball, yet he is still capable of being productive on the offensive side of the ball. Reid averaged 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds on 54% shooting, all while showing improvement on the defensive side.

Toronto Raptors free agency: Naz Reid could be a solid bench player.

Both Precious Achiuwa and Chris Boucher are in town, but neither has done enough to establish themselves as indispensable parts of the Raptors future that won’t be bumped out of the rotation. Unless Toronto is highly bullish on Christian Koloko, adding one more big man might be needed.

Reid may not be the most traditional big man, but the movement skills and consistently improved offense has helped a thin Timberwolves team stay the course. If Nick Nurse stays, Reid could run an offense that is likely very similar to what he ran in Minnesota.

Reid’s wrist injury is preventing him from truly shining.
