1. Cam Whitmore, PF, Villanova

While the comparisons to OG Anunoby might be a little bit exaggerated, many of the same traits that make Anunoby such an amazing player are present in Whitmore. If OG is on the move, why not add a young player that could follow in his footsteps like Whitmore could?

Whitmore averaged 12.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while making 48% of his shots overall and 34% of his 3-pointers. The poor 3-point numbers aren’t great, but it’ll be hard for Ujiri to pass on a 230-pound bulldozer with great mobility and polish to his game.

Toronto Raptors draft: Cam Whitmore fits the team.

Whitmore was never as offensively dominant as some may have hoped, but the ineptitude surrounding a very disappointing Wildcats team may have had something to do with that. He can score, sure, but can he be creative enough in isolation situations?

Whitmore might not be a very popular selection due to the fact that he has “Vision 6-9” aura leaking from every orifice on his body, but the Raptors have shown they will take the. best player available and let the minutes chips fall where they may. That could make Whitmore a likely draft choice if he slips a bit.
