2. Oshae Brissett

After going undrafted in 2019, Brissett was signed by his hometown Raptors. A 10-day contract turned into a multi-year deal, but he was waived by the team in 2020. Last season, with the Indiana Pacers, Brissett had a down year, averaging 6.1 points and shooting 31% from outside the arc.

On the offensive end, Brissett still needs development. Once a 42% three-point shooter, his consistency has dropped in back-to-back seasons. An off-ball player, he does not provide much playmaking, but he is a good rebounder. Active on the offensive glass, Brissett’s size and rebounding could aid the Raptors to counteract his inefficient shooting.

Will Oshae Brissett return to the Toronto Raptors?

Defensively, Brissett spent little time last season guarding top options and is an off-ball defender. Not highly touted for his steals or blocks, Brissett’s size and length could add to the Raptors’ defensive system. Being agile and switchable, he could be a good system defender, but I would not expect him to guard top-scoring matchups.

Brissett will be a UFA this off-season and will be a cheap signing. Coming off a $1.8 million contract, Brissett is a low-minute rotation player coming off a slump year, meaning his next deal, though higher, will likely be cheap. If the Raptors want to add some size for the bench, Brissett could be worth a look.
