18. Kelly Olynyk (2013)

While Giannis Antetokounmpo two picks later would have been a nicer move, Olynyk has proven to be a valuable role player on teams eyeing a title. Even as a veteran presence in Utah, the Kamloops native has continued to play his usual brand of basketball.

A solid passer and shooter, Olynyk has averaged 10.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while making 37% of his 3-pointers in the pros. With Miami and Boston earlier in his career, Olynyk provided enough solid scoring to help his team continuously make some noise late.

17. Jay Humphries (1984)

Humphries split his professional career between those mid-1980s Suns that were generally middle of the pack in the pre-Charles Barkley era and the same early 90s Bucks teams as Schayes. While never an elite scorer, he was a rock-solid starter for a decade.

Humphries averaged 11.1 points and 5.5 assists per game in the NBA. Humphries is another player that would have been better if he played in a different era, as his skill set would have been much better in today’s wide-open game as compared to the more limited, physical game of yesteryear.
