10. Sleepy Floyd (1982)

A Georgetown alum, Floyd averaged 17.7 points and 6.7 assists per game during parts of six seasons with the Warriors. After making an All-Star appearance, Floyd then started the second part of his career as a role player on the Rockets during Hakeem Olajuwon’s early years.

If the Raptors select a player that can be trusted as a lead ball-handler, quality defender, and scorer when needed, Masai Ujiri should chalk things up as a success. Floyd, who was the best pre-Iverson guard John Thompson ever coached, was a fixture in 80s Western Conference ball.

9. Dick Van Arsdale (1965)

Both Van Arsdale Twins, Dick and Tom, made three All-Star games. While Tom was a wing who played primarily for the Pistons, he eventually played alongside with brother Dick, who has his name plastered all over the Phoenix Suns’ record books thanks to his work with the expansion sides.

Van Arsdale left the Knicks and dominated in Phoenix, averaging 20.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game between 1969 and 1974. A dynamic scorer at the shooting guard spot and an All-Defensive team selection, Van Arsdale’s career still looks strong in the annals of Suns history.
