6. Richard Jefferson (2001)

Known to many very young fans as an analyst, it’s easy to forget that Jefferson was the primary wing scorer on a Nets team that made back-to-back Finals. Houston traded Jefferson away as part of a draft day deal, and New Jersey clearly won this deal.

Jefferson averaged 19.0 points per game between 2003 and 2009. His per game averages were weighed down by a half-decade of plugging away as an end-of-the-bench role player on teams like the Cavaliers and Nuggets, but prime RJ was a freaky dunker and scorer that shouldn’t be forgotten.

5. Zach LaVine (2014)

LaVine looked like he was going to be a solid role player in Minnesota, but the fact he’s averaged over 24 points per game in his six seasons with the Chicago Bulls shows that he is a microwave scorer that can still rip the rim off the backboard in any given game due to his dunking power.

LaVine will need to start stacking some postseason wins to avoid being identified as someone who is just getting points via a perennial also-ran. If he can do that, don’t count out the idea of LaVine eventually jumping up a spot or two on this list in a few seasons.
