The Toronto Raptors haven’t done much to slow down the deluge of Pascal Siakam trade rumors in the last few weeks. The Raptors appear willing to let the offers for him start to flow in. One surprising new destination for Siakam has reportedly joined the frenzy.

The latest rumor dump from Sportsnet claims that the Orlando Magic could be willing to throw their hat into the Siakam sweepstakes. With top pick Anthony Black joining a young core that features Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, the Magic have set themselves up well for the future.

Orlando is in a position to acquire an expensive star, as their roster is currently littered with a collection of young players looking to break out at the professional level. Aggregating a few of them into a larger trade for a player like Siakam might make sense for this roster.

As Siakam’s market starts to take shape, the Magic could present themselves as the team with the best combination of future draft picks and young talent that can help Toronto restock the cupboards. Will any move actually materialize as a result of this?

NBA rumors: Will the Magic get Pascal Siakam from the Raptors?

With Jonathan Isaac being the most expensive player on the roster, the Magic would need to string multiple players together just to make the money work. Markelle Fultz clocking in at $17 million in salary makes him an attractive trade chip, and Cole Anthony likely needs a fresh start.

Wendell Carter Jr. might not make sense due to the addition of Jakob Poeltl, but the Raptors could be enticed by a young player with multiple years of team control. With almost all of their future picks under their stewardship for years to come, the Magic might be an intriguing partner for the Raptors.

In reality, the Magic might need to get a third team involved to complete this trade. If they get it done, however, it wouldn’t be hard to see how a lineup of Siakam, Banchero, Wagner, Black, and Jalen Suggs could be a legitimate force for years to come in the Eastern Conference.

The Siakam trade rumors show no signs of slowing down, as the Raptors will likely unturn every stone possible in their ceaseless quest to get something of value for one of the best players in franchise history. Former Raptors guard Anthony Parker, now Orlando’s top decision-maker, could quench that thirst.
