2. TJ Warren

Warren was an ascending scorer that appeared to be a part of the long-term plan in Indiana before his injuries completely ruined his stock as a player. He finally worked his way back into the NBA last season, splitting his season between the Nets and Suns, thanks to the Kevin Durant trade.

Warren averaged 7.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in a season that often featured fluctuating playing time. While he may never be what he once was, betting on his talent could be a very worthwhile gamble for the Raptors to consider if they want some extra juice on offense.

Would TJ Warren boost the Toronto Raptors?

Warren’s scoring opportunities were limited by playing on two overly stacked, KD-led teams in Brooklyn and Phoenix, meaning that his actual offensive ceiling may be even higher than what he showed last year. The Raptors could benefit because they have the foresight needed to sign him.

Warren is creative in the mid-range as well as a willing and able 3-point shooter, both of which would be welcomed on the offensively-challenged Raptors. He is still a fragile player, but the Raptors don’t have to give him a very expensive multi-year contract due to his past.
