Tier 2: All-Star talents

6. Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans

5. Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors

4. Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves

3. Jimmy Butler, Miami Heat

Williamson could be at the higher end of this tier, but his failing health will make it tough to put him much higher. The franchise cornerstone Siakam’s numbers are gaudy enough to put him in the top five, as very few power forwards in the league can claim to be as consistent and versatile as him.

Towns is a defensive liability, but he is a proven All-Star scorer who only took a slight dip last season due to the emergence of Anthony Edwards and his injuries. A healthy KAT is a beast. Butler refuses to go away, as his playoff performances make it tough to take him out of the top three.

Tier 1: MVP contenders

2. Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns

1. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks

Even after injuries and trade requests, Durant remains one of the best players in the league. The Nuggets should still be the favorite in the West, but Phoenix should be right behind them due to Durant’s efficiency, Devin Booker’s flashiness, and Bradley Beal’s shooting.

Antetokounmpo is still in his prime, as he remains too much to stop from a physical point of view. The Bucks crashed out of the playoffs in a humiliating fashion last season, but Giannis and new head coach Adrian Griffin are loading up to prevent that from happening.
