Small Forward: Justin Edwards

The Raptors need to hope they are either good enough to make noise in the postseason or horrible enough to get their first-round pick back from the Spurs. If they accomplish the second task and pick in the top five, Edwards seems like a natural fit.

A defensive stopper with a very pleasing 3-point shot and the raw athletic ability this team loves, Edwards could slot in as a traditional wing who eventually grows into an elite scorer with the two-way potential that Ujiri is constantly on the prowl for. They just need to stink it up to grab him.

Gradey Dick could be a star for the Toronto Raptors

Shooting Guard: Gradey Dick

Dick is going to start his rookie season on the bench, operating primarily as a role player who will use his above-average 3-point shot to help this team plug one of their most significant weaknesses from last year. If he adds some weight and works on his overall on-ball offensive game, he’ll be starting in no time.

If Dick keeps improving, he could slide right into the starting lineup. Gary Trent Jr. is a tremendous talent, but when the Raptors look at the impending free agent trio currently in their ranks, Siakam and OG Anunoby will likely be held in higher regard. Dick’s potential is obvious, and it’s on the Raptors to work with him.
