The NBA All-Star Game may have lost some of the prestige it had in its heyday, but it is still one of the biggest sporting events on the basketball calendar. Teams like Pascal Siakam’s Toronto Raptors will try everything in their power to get some of their best players to participate in this game for the third year in a row.
After last year’s show in Salt Lake City got some mixed reception following a generally well-done series of events in Cleveland, it will be the Indiana Pacers who are tasked with creating an unforgettable event that captures the imagination of the collective basketball world.
The festivities, a date that every self-respecting NBA fan already has circled on their calendars, will go down a few months from now. Will this year’s games be a worthy addition to the tapestry of NBA history, or will they land with a resounding thud?
Where is the 2024 NBA All-Star Game?
The 2024 NBA All-Star Game will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Pacers will host the All-Star game for the first time since it was at the Hoosier Dome in 1985, where Ralph Sampson was named the MVP and Dominique Wilkins beat Michael Jordan in the dunk contest.
The 2025 host has not been confirmed yet, but the Milwaukee Bucks have submitted a hosting bid. The Golden State Warriors will try to bring the festivities to San Francisco, and there are rumors that the Phoenix Suns’ new ownership will try to bring the game to Arizona.
