2. Let Gradey Dick cook

The Raptors got a sneak peek at what Dick can do during his debut with the Raptors, as he was taking and making shots from impossible angles while still showing off a comfort level that is very rare for rookies with only one year of college in their pocket. Fans will be dying for more.

There is a chance Dick doesn’t end up in the Game 1 rotation, likely due to the idea of Rajakovic not wanting to overwhelm someone who can’t even buy a beer legally in America with too much responsibility. If that’s the case, the preseason might be the best way to evaluate his progress.

The Toronto Raptors need to see Gradey Dick break out.

At his best, Dick could be an answer to the prayers Raptors fans have been sending t the high heavens for years. A springy guard who is a deadeye shooter from 3-point range, Dick did not look out of place for one second against some experienced Kings players.

Once he starts to mature physically, it will be hard to envision a world where he doesn’t have a long career as instant offense off the bench. Time will tell if Rajakovic unleashes him early, but there were plenty of positives in Dick’s game against Sacramento.
