Darko Rajakovic and the Toronto Raptors are flying high after completing half of their preseason schedule. With two dominant preseason wins against the Sacramento Kings and Cairns Taipans, the new-look offense is off to a flying start north of the border.

This team may have to buckle down and play a more complete game if they want to extend their streak to 3-0, as they will have to face off against the rival Chicago Bulls. Fresh off knocking them out of the postseason picture a year ago, the Bulls want to assert themselves as a better play-in contender.

Toronto will get their first of what could end up being many chances to get a pound of flesh from the Bulls this season in a tightly contested preseason game. Although names like Precious Achiuwa might be on the mend, that won’t blunt Toronto’s enthusiasm.

Is Precious Achiuwa playing vs. Bulls?

Achiuwa has officially been deemed questionable to play, thanks to the groin injury he sustained a few days ago. With Toronto trying to take things somewhat easy as a very important regular season approaches, Achiuwa may not play for long if he does suit up.

Is DeMar DeRozan playing vs. Raptors?

DeRozan’s status for the game against his old running mates is uncertain. While he doesn’t have any major lingering injuries, Billy Donovan and the Bulls might decide to keep him on ice as the regular season approaches.

Not only is Achiuwa trying to work his way back to full health, but center Jakob Poeltl is still trying to fight through a mysterious illness that kept him out against the Taipans. Christian Koloko remains out.

While it remains to be seen if any of Chicago’s stars, including DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic, will play in this game or take a rest day, one player who could sit out due to an ankle injury is defensive stopper Alex Caruso.
