We're just two days away from the 2025 NBA Summer League (or NBA 2K26 Summer League, as it's known for sponsorship purposes) officially kicking off in its usual home of Las Vegas.

The competition has already begun for a few teams, as the California Classic and the Salt Lake City Summer League round-robin challenge took place from July 5 to 8. However, it's the Vegas incarnation that headlines it all, hosting a total of 76 games over a 10-day period between July 10 and 20.

Of course, the Toronto Raptors will be part of the festivities, boasting a 16-man roster that includes several young faces already familiar to Raptors Nation, along with a couple of new additions from the draft — and even perhaps a few names trying to make a case for a potential spot in the Raptors 905 G League program.

Raptors' outlook at the NBA 2K26 Summer League

The official NBA 2K26 Summer League Raptors roster reads as follows:

  • Jamison Battle (SF), Colin Castleton (C), Tyson Degenhart (PF), Quincy Guerrier (SF), Chucky Hepburn (PG), Jarkel Joiner (PG), Ulrich Chomche (C), Tyreke Key (PG), A.J. Lawson (SG), Alijah Martin (PG), Jonathan Mogbo (PF), Collin Murray-Boyles (SF), Clifford Omoruyi (C), Jamal Shead (PG), Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones (SG), and Ja'Kobe Walter (SG)

Off that list, we can highlight the talented cast of rookies from last year: lights-out sniper Jamison Battle, defensive 'dawg' Jamal Shead, energetic Ja'Kobe Walter, Swiss-army knife Jonathan Mogbo, and raw big man prospect Ulrich Chomche.

Likewise, there are other recognizable names who cracked the roster last year, like A.J. Lawson and Colin Castleton. While Alijah Martin and Collin Murray-Boyles represent the Raptors' latest efforts from the 2025 NBA Draft, and Chucky Hepburn is Toronto's recent undrafted pickup.

In terms of leadership, Raptors assistant coach James Wade will lead the pack of youngsters at the Vegas Summer League showcase.

As the tournament currently stands, the Raptors are set for four matchups at NBA 2K26 Summer League (two home games and two away games) with the exact schedule as follows:

As per the official format of NBA Summer League: "After each team plays four games, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs and participate in a semifinal game on July 19, and the two semifinal game winners will participate in the championship game on July 20. The top four playoff seeds will be determined by winning percentage using tie-breakers."

And for those teams who were not able to advance to the four-team tourney, this is their fate: "The 26 teams that did not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on either July 19 or July 20."

Hopefully, with the talented Raptors roster construction, they can find themselves in the final four-team tournament to determine the Summer League champions. But at the very least, if they're unable to do so, Raptors fans will have five games to witness what some of their familiar players are up to and get a glimpse of some of the potential integral pieces of tomorrow.
