While the recent 2025 (or NBA 2K26) Summer League offered Raptors fans their first glimpse of some new recruits joining the Northern pack and their current developmental pieces, the real business kicks off in early to mid-October as teams gear up for preseason games.
These showcases are crucial not only for helping the roster build chemistry before the regular season starts but also for players without a locked-in role or guaranteed main roster spot. For some, it could mean a future in the NBA, while for others, unfortunately, it might mean fading out.
Sure, the coaching staff and front office can get an idea through training camp, but when it comes to genuine team versus team competition, nothing beats judging off live action instead of gym scrimmages.
And for this young and exciting, but rather inexperienced Raptors group, they can now look forward to a set of six dates coming up in October, which includes a visit to the West Coast for a special Canada Series showdown. These confirmed dates will run as follows:

- October 12: Toronto Raptors at Washington Wizards - 3:00 PM ET, Washington, DC
- October 15: Toronto Raptors at Boston Celtics - 7:30 PM ET, Boston, MA
- October 17: Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets - 7:00 PM ET, Toronto, ON
A noteworthy tidbit regarding the Oct. 6 showcase against Denver, it will mark "the league’s 20th Canada Series game since 2012," according to the official NBA Communications press release.
Also per the release, "The NBA Canada Series presented by Bell has featured 16 teams playing 19 preseason games in front of nearly 360,000 fans across six cities. Fourteen of those games have featured the Raptors. The 2025 NBA Canada Series presented by Bell will mark the seventh Canada Series game in Vancouver and first since 2023, when the Raptors defeated the Sacramento Kings 112-99 at Rogers Arena."
Tickets for the Canada Series 2025 matchup are set to go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 27. Details about the sale dates for the other two home preseason games haven't been announced yet, but fans can expect updates in the coming months.
