Media Day for the Toronto Raptors has arrived.

With it, the official start to the 2024-25 league year arrives in force. After the activity of free agency and the lull of the late summer, Media Day marks the first step in what will soon feel like a sprint into Opening Night, which then becomes a marathon of 82 games over the course of the season.

The Toronto Raptors are hosting Media Day in Montrael, where they will be conducting Training Camp over the coming days and playing their first preseason game. While NBA expansion is imminent, it's unlikely Montreal is on the list of potential host cities; it's simply a breath of fresh air to help spread engagement with the league and the Raptors across Canada.

Media Day will see a number of team personnel and players speak to the media, which will hopefully provide a platform for answering some of the burning questions that fans have heading into the season. Which questions do we most hope to have answered?

Let's take a look at three burning questions and whether we're likely to get an answer today.

No. 1: Who is the 5th starter?

As we have been discussing all summer, four of the five slots in the starting lineup appear set. Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl will start. Who will join them in starting games?

Bruce Brown's surgery likely puts him out of the running to start the year, but is the spot his when he returns? Is Gradey Dick being handed the job or will he have to earn it? Is there a dark horse candidacy to be considered from Kelly Olynyk, Ochai Agbaji or Davion Mitchell?

Next. The Raptors cannot put this player in the starting lineup. The Raptors cannot put this player in the starting lineup. dark

Coaches often like to hold their cards close to the chest, and the most likely answer is "wait and see" but JJ Redick just revealed the Lakers' starting lineup on the final episode of The Lowe Post so anything can happen.
