No. 2: Jordan Nwora

This alumni is new to the title, as Jordan Nwora landed with the Toronto Raptors this past season as a part of the Pascal Siakam trade. The 6'8" forward entered the NBA as the 45th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, playing 2.5 seasons before he also found his way to the Indiana Pacers; they included him as salary ballast in the Siakam deal.

The theory behind Nwora is one that is highly coveted around the NBA. He entered the league as a sharpshooting prospect, and he has never been afraid to get shots up from outside. His percentage has fluctuated in smaller roles, but he remains a 37.6 percent career shooter from outside and has hit 80.7 percent of his free throws. The shooting isn't in question.

The rest of the game will determine whether Nwora can prove himself a player who deserves to stick around in the league, and his next landing spot could go a long ways toward dictating whether he heads overseas or has a spot in the NBA. The former Louisville forward has great size at 6'8" and is a strong rebounder and finisher inside when he receives the ball on cuts or in transition.

Can Nwora become more consistent on defense? Can his 3-point accuracy rise from "good" to "deadeye" on a high volume? Neither is a high probability, but both are reasonably possible, and if so, Nwora suddenly becomes an ideal role player for a good team. Given the Raptors' need for forward-sized players and for shooting, bringing Nwora back makes a lot of sense.
