Flaw No. 2: Backup center

The Toronto Raptors have their starting center entrenched in Jakob Poeltl, but the backup center question was answered by quantity and not necessarily quality.

Kelly Olynyk will likely start the season backing up Poeltl, but it's a real question as to whether lineups with him at center can hold up defensively. Chris Boucher is on the roster but hopefully won't be relied upon for rotation minutes as his game is quickly spiraling to "below replacement" level.

Both Olynyk and Boucher lack the paint deterrnece that Poeltl provides, so if he misses time Toronto is in a bind. The other options on the roster are rookies, the raw Ulrich Chomche and the undrafted Branden Carlson. Could one of those two step up and start in Poeltl's absence?

The lack of a backup with size and defensive chops makes it nearly impossible to trade Jakob Poeltl as well. The Raptors saw last season what happens when they are without Poeltl for an extended period and it was not pretty, and Toronto didn't add a reliable center option this summer. That could come back to bite them.
