Dud: Ja'Kobe Walter

The Toronto Raptors won the basketball game by 25 points, and not a single player had a negative plus-minus. It's not particularly easy to pick out a lot of disappointing performances, but one in particular is that their first-round pick didn't make a strong impact.

No. 19 pick Ja'Kobe Walter was often on the court for strong runs by the Raptors, but he was not the driving factor. He was late on rotations frequently and was a major culprit for Adam Flager's 6-of-7 3-point explosion. On offense he shot just 2-for-9, including 0-for-6 from deep, and mustered just a single assist and two rebounds. In total, his five points were tied for eighth on the team.

Walter is just 19 years old and playing in his first NBA action; he certainly has time to get into the groove of things. He was +20 on the night after all. He will likely get a chance to take on a larger role if Gradey Dick is pulled after another game or two.

The Raptors' three second-round picks got plenty of run as well. Jamal Shead was fine; he shot 3-for-6 from the field, dished four assists and was a hound on defense, but he missed both of his free-throws, committed four fouls and was the only member of the starting lineup without a double-digit plus-minus. Jonathan Mogbo and Ulrich Chomche both rebounded well but contributed very little on offense; they combined for one field goal and 15 rebounds.
