No. 3: Josh Green, $12.65 million

Another player who was already traded this summer was Josh Green, who was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks but moved in the six-team mega trade that brought Klay Thompson to Texas, sending Green to the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte is likely interested in seeing how Green fits on the roster, but with young players like Brandon Miller, Nick Smith Jr. and Tre Mann on the wing, they may be willing to move off of Green and his money.

That could be an opportunity for the Raptors to add another young player to the mix, someone who can play backup minutes at small forward behind RJ Barrett and has a similar build to the former Duke player. Green is 6'5" but with a 6'10" wingspan and played most of his minutes at forward for the Mavericks.

Green's upside on a good team is likely as a high-end 3-and-D small forward, which is exactly what the Raptors could use, and at just 23 years old he has plenty of room to grow with the team. He shot 40.2 and 38.5 percent from 3-point range over the past two seasons, is a plus athlete and is active on defense.

Things haven't yet come together for Green, which is why he was not consistently in the Mavericks' playoff rotation and was someone they were willing to move off of this summer. Trading for him would be a risk. It's also a risk where the downside is relatively small, and the upside is a player who can be a part of Toronto's rotation for years to come. It's a reasonable bet to make.
