No. 3: Duop Reath

If the Toronto Raptors wanted to target a low-cost option to replace Jakob Poeltl who may blossom into a reliable option for a few seasons while they search for a long-term answer, Duop Reath may be the perfect player to seek out on the trade market.

The Portland Trail Blazers are currently paying Deandre Ayton a max contract and are unlikely to find any suitors for him on the trade market. They also have a high-upside but low-floor center in Robert Williams III who likely would entice teams on the trade market, but he needs to prove he is healthy. Giving both players minutes will be difficult when they also drafted Donovan Clingan with the seventh overall pick and he could be the best of the group very quickly given his defensive chops.

That leaves absolutely no room for Duop Reath, an Austalian center who entered the league as an older rookie last year and was quietly a revelation when he filled in for injured teammates. He can finish inside and is confident shooting from outside, defends well and was a part of some of Portland's best lineups last year.

Reath makes just $2 million this season, and $2.2 next year, yet is a perfectly competent low-end starter to plug into the starting spot until the Raptors draft or otherwise find a long-term replacement. He is likely gettable given the Blazers' crowded room and commitment to Clingan as their center of the future, and he would be the ideal of a low-cost option to step in.
