One year ago the Toronto Raptors were preparing for a new season, intending to fight for a playoff berth with a team built around Pascal Siakam. OG Anunoby and Dennis Schroder were locked into starting roles. Malachi Flynn, Gary Trent Jr. and Precious Achiuwa had rotation roles, as did Otto Porter Jr. when healthy.

By the 2024 trade deadline none of those players remained on the team, traded away in a foursome of deals made by Masai Ujiri and the front office to reshape the roster. Last season was something of an extreme example, but it illustrates the point that rosters rarely stay the same over the course of a season.

Will the Raptors massively overhaul the roster again this year? It's unlikely, but that doesn't mean they won't be active on the trade market. That means someone on the roster is on the block, and a number of Raptors could find themselves moved in trades.

Who is most likely to be on a new team by the trade deadline? Let's look at five players who could be on the move, starting with a player who is no stranger to moving from team to team.

No. 5: Ochai Agbaji

Much ink has been spilled about Ochai Agbaji and the dismal start to his tenure in Toronto. The 2022 lottery pick couldn't hit a shot once he put on a Raptors uniform, shooting just 39.1 percent from the field and 21.7 percent from 3-point range in 27 games with the team.

With a glut of wings on the roster and a lack of forwards, it wouldn't be surprising for Toronto to either shop Agbaji around to a team willing to give him another shot, or to include him in a larger deal as neutral salary filler. Agbaji has already been traded twice just two years into his career, and he could easily go 3-for-3 this season.
