No. 1: Bruce Brown

The most likely player on the team to be traded is also the most expensive on this list, as Bruce Brown Jr. is making $23 million in the second year of the two-year contract he signed last summer with the Indiana Pacers. One Pascal Siakam trade later Brown and his salary are now on the Raptors.

Toronto doesn't want to keep Brown around, certainly not on that salary. He is a difficult fit on a team filled with on-ball creators, and his lack of a knockdown shot nor exceptional size mean he isn't meeting any acute needs for the team. He's a savvy veteran who does a lot of the little things well, but the big things he is best at aren't what the Raptors need from him.

Other teams will value his skillset, however, especially given the key role he played on the champion Denver Nuggets just over a year age. He can be a backup ball-handler, is a savvy cutter and a solid defender. On a team with more shooting his strengths could be allowed to shine.

The reason a trade hasn't happened yet is either (1) another team hasn't figured out the matching salary, or (2) the Raptors haven't liked the offers they have received. Whichever reason is the culprit (likely different teams fall in one category or the other) a solution will present itself by the trade deadline. The other four players could be traded; Bruce Brown almost certainly will be traded.
