The Toronto Raptors are playing their second without Scottie Barnes, and there was a lot to take away from the team’s win over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
Unfortunately, the team lost Jakob Poeltl to a broken finger in that game, so the Raps will find themselves with an even shorter rotation on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
How does that alter the prop market?

I have three props to consider in this game, including one for Immanuel Quickley, who is becoming the top option for Toronto this season.
Pelicans vs. Raptors best NBA prop bets
- Immanuel Quickley OVER 32.5 points, rebounds and assists
- Jonas Valanciunas OVER 9.5 rebounds
- Gary Trent Jr. OVER 2.5 3-pointers made
Immanuel Quickley OVER 32.5 points, rebounds and assists
In his first game without Barnes on Sunday, Quickley shot 6-for-14 from the field, 2-for-7 from 3 and 8-for-8 from the line on his way to a 22-point game. He also added 11 assists and seven rebounds, commanding the offense for Toronto all night.
With Barnes, Poeltl and Bruce Brown all out for this game, Quickley is going to have the ball in his hands a lot to run this offense.
After going for 40 PRA on Sunday, I’m surprised to see Quickley’s prop drop from 33.5 to 32.5 in this game. Quickley’s cleared 32.5 PRA in four of his last six games.
New Orleans is a much better defensive team than Charlotte, but the Raptors point guard is going to see another game with a ton of usage tonight. I’ll bet on him paying that off.
Jonas Valanciunas OVER 9.5 rebounds
This is a pretty simple play, as the Raptor’s options at center are dwindling with Poeltl going down.
Valanciunas should have a field day on the glass for New Orleans, and the big man has cleared 9.5 rebounds in three of his last six games while averaging 9.5 boards per game on the season.
He should have no problem working against Kelly Olynyk, Jontay Porter and Chris Boucher down low.
Gary Trent Jr. OVER 2.5 3-pointers made
In Sunday’s game against Charlotte, Gary Trent Jr. shot 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, seeing an uptick in his minutes and shot attempts (13 total) without Barnes.
Now, he gets a matchup with a New Orleans team that ranks 24th in the NBA in opponent 3-pointers made per game this season.
Trent Jr. has been taking the 3-ball at a steady rate, averaging 5.8 attempts per game while shooting 40.8 percent from 3. I don’t mind him at plus money to hit three or more shots from beyond the arc.
