Best NBA prop bets today for Raptors vs. Suns (Bet on RJ Barrett to bounce back)

Breaking down the best prop bets for the Toronto Raptors-Phoenix Suns matchup in the NBA on Thursday.

The Toronto Raptors were crushed by the New Orleans Pelicans in their last game, and the team is looking to put that loss behind it when it takes on the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.

Phoenix picked up a massive road win over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, but the team won’t have Devin Booker in action due to an ankle injury.

I still don’t love betting on a side for Toronto in this one, so why not take a look at the prop market?

Two young Raptors should continue to step up in Scottie Barnes’ (broken hand) absence, and I also have a player for one of the members of the Suns’ Big 3.

Here’s a look at my favorite props in this game on Thursday:

Raptors vs. Suns best NBA prop bets

  • RJ Barrett OVER 21.5 points
  • Bradley Beal OVER 9.5 rebounds and assists
  • Immanuel Quickley OVER 31.5 points, rebounds and assists

RJ Barrett OVER 21.5 points

RJ Barrett has seen his usage increase a bit with Barnes out of the lineup, and he’s scored 22 or more points in five of his last seven games.

While Barrett is averaging 19.4 points per game on the season, he scored 23 on 15 shots in a win over Charlotte and 15 on 14 shots in a blowout loss to the Pelicans without Barnes in action. RJ missed four free throws and both of his 3-point attempts against the Pels, so it’s not unreasonable to think he could push this number if the Raptors can hang around on Thursday.

Also, outside of Immanuel Quickley, Toronto has very few proven scoring options healthy at the moment. I’ll take Barrett with his prop dropping to 21.5.

Bradley Beal OVER 9.5 rebounds and assists

In his last two games without Devin Booker in the lineup, Bradley Beal has put up 10 and 12 rebounds and assists in those games.

The Suns are going to have the ball in Beal and Kevin Durant’s hands as much as possible, and Beal has cleared this prop in three games (out of six) without Book this season.

Toronto also ranks 26th in the NBA in opponent assists per game, so don’t be shocked if Beal pushes six or more dimes for the third game in a row on Thursday.

Immanuel Quickley OVER 31.5 points, rebounds and assists

In two games without Barnes, Quickley has 40 and 31 PRA, and he was well on his way to clearing this prop until he sat the entire fourth quarter due to the blowout against New Orleans.

Betting on the Raptors to keep this close isn’t ideal, but the Suns are the worst fourth quarter team in terms of net rating this season, so Toronto may be able to hang around longer than one would think in this matchup.

We know the scoring will be there for Quickley more often than not, but I’ve been extremely encouraged by his rebound and assists numbers, as he’s posted 14 rebounds and 18 over these last two matchups.
