The Clippers start a seven-game road trip in Toronto on Friday night, can the team's fine play continue?
Toronto is restructuring its team with mid-season trades, but the team is getting fine individual performances from the likes of RJ Barrett. However, with some key players like the newly acquired Immanuel Quickly, can the team stun the Clippers as the team begins an elongated east coast swing?

Clippers vs. Raptors Key Players to Watch
Clippers
Paul George: George has been enjoying a great season, and it's been at its best in January, shooting 51% from the field and 46% from beyond the arc while posting a +18 on-court rating. The Clippers are clicking with its early season trade of James Harden and George is feeling the benefits of having a floor spacer opening up the court for him.
Raptors
RJ Barrett: Barrett has flourished in his new role in Toronto, averaging nearly 21 points per game and seven rebounds while improving his overall efficiency by a ton, shooting nearly 56% from the field and 37% from three. Can he handle the attention of some of the best wing defenders in the league in George and Kawhi Leonard?
Clippers vs. Raptors Prediction and Pick
I'll take a stab at the Raptors at a big number to keep things close with the Clippers. While Toronto won't have the services of Quickley in this one, I believe that Barrett, Bruce Brown, and the rest of the group can keep things competitive with the Clippers, who are starting a long road trip and are on the first leg of a back-to-back, playing the Celtics on Saturday.
There is a chance that we see Kawhi Leonard on a minutes restriction in this one in hopes of having the superstar wing available for the road test at Boston on Saturday, but this matchup should suit the Raptors offense well with its ability to move the basketball and avoid turnovers.
Since the calendar flipped to 2024, the Raptors are third in the NBA in assist percentage and second in assist-to-turnover ratio, meaning that the team is putting a priority on protecting the rock and moving the ball across the floor. This is imperative against a Clippers defense that has outstanding perimeter defenders but is playing without a ton of rim protection with the loss of Zubac for an extended period.
Toronto's offense may be up to the task on Friday night and can keep this one close against Los Angeles in a tricky spot starting its road trip.
