Trade No. 3: The Pacers make a move for Pascal Siakam.

Siakam Pacers B/R

Indiana has been connected to Siakam for some time. Siakam's skills, along with Tyrese Haliburton, could take an already dynamic offense into one of the most efficient in the game to go along with their impressive raw totals. As currently constructed, the Pacers won't be winning anything.

The Raptors, for competitive and financial reasons, need to get Hield, as a veteran shooter with years of proven 3-point excellence is what this lugubrious roster needs. That doesn't necessarily mean this trade is a lock to turn the Raptors into a viable squad in the next few years.

The Toronto Raptors could trade Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers.

Toppin is a solid young gamble, but is yet another 6-8 forward the best option for Ujiri and the Raptors? McConnell, while solid, won't move the needle one iota. Even Hield isn't too valuable, as he is slated to be on the open market at the end of the season.

The Raptors would only get one first-round pick in this deal, and a Pacers team that could theoretically have Haliburton and Siakam in that season might not give Toronto the best picks. The Raptors might be banking on the combination not working, as one pick for Siakam is too light.
