Group 4: They won't come cheap

RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, Ja'Kobe Walter, Gradey Dick

The penultimate group of Raptors players are all extremely valuable on their own, players whose age, skillset or proven production makes them worth trading real assets.

Canadian wing RJ Barrett has blossomed since arriving in Toronto, having the best four months of his career to end last season and playing inspired basketball for Team Canada at the Paris Olympics. He is signed to an expensive contract, but he looks to be living up to it, and if he was the centerpiece of a deal he could help the Raptors bring back a significant return.

Jakob Poeltl is likely in a similar category to Barrett, on a smaller contract but offering real value as a rim protector and rebounder. He is not worth the No. 8 pick the Raptors ended up giving up for him, but there are a number of center-needy teams that would offer an expensive package for him.

At the other end of the spectrum, Gradey Dick and Ja'Kobe Walter are a pair of young wings from the last two drafts that teams could target, either on their own as valuable additions to a larger deal. Gradey Dick is a prime candidate to start this year and offers size and shooting, while Walter has an extra year on his inexpensive rookie contract and brings some on-ball ability in addition to his 3-and-D utility.

The Raptors don't look to be shopping or even taking calls on any of these players, but good front offices always keep their options open, and if something were to change each of these players could be an important focal point in a deal.
