Terrible luck, terrible timing

A little over two months ago, Anunoby suffered a horrific, knee-buckling injury in the 1st half of an Indiana-Penn State game. The stadium instantly went pin-drop silent while coaches and teammates carried him off as OG reeled in pain.

A few days after, diagnosis of the injury was complete with (now-former) head coach Tom Crean announcing Anunoby would be out for the remainder of the season.

Regrettably, this has put Anunoby’s entire NBA future in jeopardy as we have seen awful injuries in the past absolutely derail the dreams of young college athletes.

Will he return for his junior season and attempt to regain his standing amongst elite college prospects or risk a dive into the 2017 NBA Draft? Either way, nothing is guaranteed for the promising forward. Come June, if an NBA team is drafting Anunoby to help alleviate its reeling offense, shame on you. Teams coveting perimeter defenders will consider OG Anunoby as a real option.

The problem is: Where will he land? With whom does he fit?

This is where the Toronto Raptors come into play.
