Small forward – help wanted

Lacking young depth at the ‘3’, you can bet this position is being heavily scouted by Ujiri and Co.

Considering his enormous contract, DeMarre Carroll’s tenure thus far in Toronto has been disappointing. P.J. Tucker has brought tenacity and defensive ability however his overall game is just as limited.

Ultimately, Anunoby could be an eventual replacement for Carroll, initially learning under his wing.

Prominent draft websites such as DraftExpress and NBAdraft.net have conflicting views on the future of Anunoby. The former has him going 18th overall in their latest 2017 mock draft. The latter dropped OG out of their mock draft entirely — instead moving him to their 2018 version.

This time last year, the draft community was in agreement on the promising future of Ogugua Anunoby.

Now, it’s anything but that.
