The Toronto Raptors are still looking to add a few pieces to their roster in advance of the 2017-18 season. The pickings are slim but there are a handful of free agents still available that could help the Raptors. Here are a few free agents that could be a fit in Toronto.

The Toronto Raptors are still looking to add a few pieces to their roster in advance of the 2017-18 season. Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster will be busy working the phones over the next few weeks to see if they can move any players via trade as well as scouring the globe for any available free agents that can provide immediate help for the Raptors.

Most of the big name players that were available have already put pen to paper and signed contracts elsewhere in the NBA.

The pickings are slim but there are still a handful of free agents available on the market that could be worth kicking the tires on to see if they could be a fit with the Raptors.

Here are just a few names that may be worth a look for Toronto:

Michael Beasley – Beasley played last season with Milwaukee and averaged 9.4 points per game coming off the bench. He was an absolute stud in college at Kansas State and was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft.

Beasley has had an up and down career after bouncing around the league and playing in China but he can provide much needed points off the bench. He has averaged double figures in scoring in six of his nine NBA seasons with a career high total of 19.2 points per game back in 2010-11 with Miami.

There are reports that Beasley has been offered a three-year $15 million deal to go back to China and he has received interest from several NBA teams which means plenty of GM’s still feel he has something left in the tank.

Andrew Bogut – Bogut suffered a devastating knee injury just two minutes into his first game with Cleveland back in March that ended his season. He is still recovering from the injury which is why he is still available on the free agent market.

Bogut likely won’t be ready for the start of the season but he could contribute to the Raptors line-up in the second half of the season and help the team make a playoff push. He is the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft and has been a proven winner throughout the course of his career.

Ujiri has talked about a culture shift for the Raptors and Bogut would be an excellent addition to the locker room as well as the Raptors line-up.

Shabazz Muhammad – Muhammad was the National High School Player of the Year before starring for UCLA where he was named an All-American. He was a bit of a disappointment for the T-Wolves over four season where he averaged 9.7 points per game over 235 career NBA games.

However, Muhammad is still only 24 years-old and may just need a change of scenery to kick start his once promising career.

David Lee – He is 34 years-old so he isn’t a long term solution for the Raptors. However, the guy is a Two-Time NBA All-Star and has won an NBA championship as a member of Golden State back in 2015. He was behind LaMarcus Aldridge and Pao Gasol for minutes with San Antonio last year so he should still be relatively fresh and able to contribute solid minutes for Toronto.

Would you rather see the Raptors add some unproven kid who has had a few good games in the G League or a guy like Lee who is a proven scorer and winner for over a decade in the NBA?
