Raptors’ Wright Thriving on Playoff Stage
By Jordan Skuse
In Game 1, Wright may have been Toronto’s second best player – behind a suddenly *WOKE* Serge Ibaka.
In 24+ minutes, Delon finished with 18 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. He led Toronto with 6 deflections, shot 7-10 while connecting on 75 percent of his threes (3-4) – Did I mention he was the lone Raptor to post a sub-100 defensive rating (99) despite having to spend 31 of 49 defensive possessions guarding either John Wall or Bradley Beal.
Like VanVleet, Wright has enjoyed a breakout season. But as a drafted asset, there are inherent expectations that apply to him.

For Wright, these playoffs are about him showing exactly the type of player he can be – a defensive savant who can also produce WOW! level offense (don’t forget the rapidly improving shot!) – all this while also being a nightmare to defend in transition – There’s no such thing as having too broad a skillset while trying to justify one’s draft position.
(Have no fear, Delon never disappoints…)
