Rising Stars Challenge – Will OG be OK?

With Jordan Loyd and Chris Boucher spending the majority of their time in the G-League as two-way players, OG Anunoby is the only eligible player for the Rising Stars Challenge. Here are a few players that he will be challenging for a spot on the World roster:

OG should be able to find his way onto this roster. There will be some precautionary measures for Markkanen and Bogdanovic coming back from injury. OG’s impact on a winning team could also put him over Okogie from the Timberwolves and Okobo from the Suns. An argument could also be made for OG to start next to Simmons, Ayton, and Doncic depending on who coaches.

A lineup of Ben Simmons, Luka Doncic, OG Anunoby, Lauri Markkanen, and DeAndre Ayton could give the World team a good balance of shooting and defending with OG starting. This could also match them up well versus a talented USA roster.
