Kawhi Leonard (SG/SF)

Preseason Ranking: 13
Average Pick: 12.1
Current Ranking: 6

Surprise? Leonard is still elite and any worries about his injury or his motivation or his adjustment in a new city and team are all put to bed as he has easily recovered his place as one of the fantasy heavyweights.

Not only is Leonard “back”, but he’s playing more than ever. The 27-year-old is going after it averaging career-highs in minutes (34:21), scoring (25.6), and rebounding (8.5) while shooting at 48.7 percent from the field and 85.6 from the line.

Leonard is playing at an MVP-level and is set to make a boatload of money when he opts out of his player contract next season.

Players were hesitant on taking Leonard with some drafts having him fall to the second round of a 12-team league. But even those who took him early couldn’t have foreseen him producing at such a high level so quickly. Leonard only played in nine games last season and had a debilitating injury, after all.

Leonard rests every two or three games and will likely sit out more towards season’s end, especially if Toronto is several games away from the second seed. But at this point, it’s clear he is still the superstar we saw two seasons ago.
