5. CJ Miles is going to hit a big shot for Toronto at some point this season

I’m not the only person overreacting to a 5-7 (3-5 from three) 13-point performance, am I?!

A part of me was hoping CJ would get a chance to play against the Suns. After all, it was the second night of a back-to-back, and the Raptors have played more games than any other team (I think? Might be one team that’s played more). It was expected that the regulars would be breathing a bit heavier than usual given how grueling Toronto’s schedule has been to this point. Add in that Phoenix entered the game with only 11 wins, and suddenly you have the ingredients for a fun Wednesday night.

That is precisely what Nick Nurse had, as every player dressed saw action, including the likes of Patrick McCaw, Miles, and yes…CHRIS BOUCHER even made an appearance. But back to Miles…

The veteran played well, and it was awesome to see. Miles’ struggles have been well documented, and the only way he’s ever going to get through them is if he gets playing time, so good on Nick Nurse for finding time for Agent 0.

The NBA season is a long journey and it truly does every player playing at a high level to win a title. The Toronto Raptors are no different. Injuries happen, guys struggle certain nights and need a teammate to pick them up. There are a million different ways Miles could be thrust into regular duty.

CJ Miles will, at some point this season, hit a big shot for the Dinos.

(or be traded before he gets that opportunity)
