Malcolm Miller

In February the Toronto Raptors brought back Malcolm Miller on a two-year deal. Miller’s deal carries a $457,418 dollar cap hit for the year. Next season he has the potential to earn $1,588,231 dollars.

The 26-year should be familiar to Raptors fans. He played 15 games with the club during the 2017-2018 season. In addition, he has spent parts of two seasons playing for Raptors 905.

Miller played in just 10 regular season games with the team this year. However, at just 26-years of age, he is someone who should get an extended look next season.

What keeps getting him NBA opportunities is his shooting. Miller is a career 42.9 percent three-point shooter. Add in his strong defensive skill and he could become a three-and-d specialist off the bench.

In the postseason, Miller’s minutes were scarce. However, that was not entirely unexpected.

Due to his small sample size with the team, Miller scored low on our scales. But, that is not to say that he performed poorly in his limited amount of time. Moving forward it would be nice to see the 26-year old receive more of an opportunity with the second unit.

Finding some stability could jumpstart Miller’s career. The Raptors’ front office has an eye for untapped potential.
