Jodie Meek

At 32-years-old by the start of next season, Jodie Meeks is just looking to stay in the league. A three-point specialist with few other tools in his toolbox at this point, it’s up for debate whether Toronto should bring him back.

Despite joining the team late in the season and looking washed for much of the year, Jodie Meeks played meaningful minutes during the Raptors postseason run.

Yes, that’s only due to the injury of OG Anunoby and absence of Patrick McCaw during portions of the Philadelphia 76ers series, but injuries are apart of the NBA grind. If Nurse was willing to bring him in during last year’s playoffs, it’s fair to believe he’s not against bringing him back the following season.

It also depends on where the Raptors are at next year. If they’re looking to compete for a title, Meeks makes sense as a 13th-15th man, a player who can come in as a sniper off the bench. He’s not going to give you much else, but at least you know what you’re getting.

The Raptors shouldn’t have much competition for Meeks, as it’s hard to imagine him receiving more than a one-year minimum deal. Toronto can offer him that in their efforts to run it back next season.

Meeks future is almost directly opposite of McCaw’s. If Kawhi comes back, he has a solid chance to make the team. If Kawhi leaves, he’s gone.

Verdict: 50/50
