Starters Grades

KYLE LOWRY. B+. Lowry failed to reach double digits in this one, the first time he’s done so since Dec. 11. Despite his low scoring output, #7 still played a key role in driving Toronto’s offence on Friday and finished with six assists and +11 net rating. Lowry has struggled from beyond the arc in recent games, going 1-4 against Detroit and has only hit six of his last 22 attempts after Friday’s win.. Point Guard. Toronto Raptors

For a second straight game, VanVleet flirted with a triple-double, finishing Friday’s win with 16 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. One of the NBA’s premiere “thieves”, VanVleet added a pair of steals to his personal box score and has eight straight games with at least one steal, including a pair of four steal efforts. VanVleet finished 7-11, a nice bounce-back performance after going 3-13 in Toronto’s last game.. Point Guard. Toronto Raptors. FRED VANVLEET. A

OG ANUNOBY. B. From an offensive standpoint, Friday was another pedestrian effort on the part of Anunoby, though, his defence remains elite. He only attempted six shots, making three, and played the fewest minutes of any starter (24).. Small Forward. Toronto Raptors

PASCAL SIAKAM. A+. Siakam’s 30 points were a game high. Toronto’s go-to guy was extremely efficient versus Detroit, going 12-18 from the field including 2-5 from three. Siakam added seven rebounds, four assists and a block to a stat line that also featured a net rating of +26. He finally seems to have turned a corner after struggling early on coming back from injury.. Power Forward. Toronto Raptors

A-. Tell you what…Serge Ibaka is playing like an all-star and had the game not been right around the corner, there would be a legitimate case for having him involved in the mid-season showcase. Starting in place of <a rel=. Center. Toronto Raptors. SERGE IBAKA
