Toronto Raptors: 5 Impactful Players From This Season
By Joseph Zita
1. Kyle Lowry – 34 years old – PG
2019-20 stats – 52 GP – 19.7 PPG – 4.8 RPG – 7.7 APG – .417 FG% – .354 3P% – .861 FT%
Finally at my number one spot I have arguably the greatest Toronto Raptor of all-time, Kyle Lowry. Kyle may have not played in every game this season but neither did the other four players on this list because they were all out with an injury at one point during the season.
Kyle Lowry has always been such an impactful player on the court for the Toronto Raptors especially this season and obviously last season when they won the championship. Just like Serge Ibaka, his leadership and tenacity is very noticeable and that is a very good thing around a team trying to contend again as well as a team with some young guys that are the future of the team and Kyle is showing them how to lead. Lowry is known as a bulldog because of his aggressiveness and like I said leadership and tenacity, he puts it out all on the floor and he wants to be a winner and he truly is a champion.
Kyle Lowry is also averaging his highest PPG since the 2016-17 season when he averaged 22.4 PPG, with Lowry contributing at a level like this this just shows that he is like Ibaka, aging like fine wine as the older they get the better they get too. (Stats from NBA.com)
