Trade 3: Terence Davis to Sacramento, in exchange for a future second-round pick

This is a trade where we kind of saw it coming over a guy like Thomas, simply because Davis had such an up-and-down season this year performance-wise. With all the news surrounding him from the beginning of the season with his charges, it was just a matter of time they would part ways with the 23-year-old.

Just like Thomas, the Toronto Raptors get a decent return for a player who only has two years of NBA experience. To be honest, you can never go wrong with acquiring draft picks in a trade, especially if you’re on the outside looking in.

Terence Davis netted the Raptors a solid pick

Davis who has seen more playing time than Thomas this season hasn’t had the ideal season either, as he’s averaging 6.9 points per game, 1.9 rebounds per game, and 1.1 assists per game, all of which are career lows from the season prior.

His shooting is also down from last year as he’s currently shooting 41% from the field, 36% from the three, and surprisingly has had a career-high as of right now shooting from the free-throw line as he’s shooting 88% from there.

So Sacramento gets a young guard who has some upside, but one who seems to be very inconsistent sometimes, for a future second-round pick. I feel like this trade is alright and it doesn’t hurt or give either team a huge advantage right now given where they currently are in the standings.
