4. Montrezl Harrell

Montrezl Harrell was a guy who was initially interested in joining the Toronto Raptors last offseason before joining the Los Angeles Lakers. Looking back now, it looks like he made the right choice, but still nice to know free agents are starting to respect the Raptors organization. Furthermore, Harrell has given the lakers a quality bench big man.

Harell has enjoyed a productive season with the Lakers, but he could be looking for a larger role and more cash this summer. If the Raptors are able to create enough cap room, they might be able to add someone like Harrell to their rotation given what a dynamic scorer in the paint he can be.

The Toronto Raptors should take advantage of Harrell

Much like was mentioned earlier, the Toronto Raptors need help up front and Harrell can bring the toughness around the rim. He is a very poor defender, as has been proven with both Los Angeles teams, but he can still add value to the Raptors due to his ferocity in the restricted area.

Harell is a versatile piece who can start or come off the bench and would be a big help in the Raptors’ climb back to the playoffs. Considering that he took a somewhat cost-effective deal with the Lakers, Harrell might value winning as much as money, and the Raptors will need to sell him on their vision for next year.
