Toronto Raptors’ 2021-2022 starting frontcourt

SF: OG Anunoby

OG Anunoby was one of the sole bright spots of the Raptors 2020-2021 campaign. Hitting career highs in most major categories, the defensive clamp broke out offensively as well, turning into a quality shooter.

Anunoby has steadily developed every year with the Toronto Raptors and one has to believe another step can be taken next year. It will be very interesting to watch his development as his offensive role grows.

PF: Pascal Siakam

Pascal Siakam had much more of an up and down season for the Toronto Raptors, but when he was healthy he played some great basketball. His shooting percentages overall were down, but he continued to work on other parts of his game, showing that he can still be an elite power forward when called upon.

Siakam has had a tough last couple years with the Raptors, and COVID-19 affected him more than any other player on this roster. Can he be a featured option on this team? That remains to be seen. But if Beal comes around, he won’t have to be.

C: Khem Birch

Montreal native Khem Birch thrived as soon as he joined the Raptors and showed this team what they were missing in a competent big man (sorry Aron Baynes). Doubling his point and block averages per game after joining the Raptors, it’s safe to say the new relationship has worked out on both sides.

Birch isn’t in the upper echelon of centers in the NBA by any means, but he is certainly competent enough to be a full-time starter for a team that holds the talent the Raptors do at other positions.

Look for the Toronto Raptors 2021-2022 starting lineup to look something like this.

The Toronto Raptors’ starting lineup will undoubtedly look different come tip-off of next season. There are the locks to be in the mix like Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and Pascal Siakam. Khem Birch looks probable as well as both sides look interested in a reunion.

Watch for one star to enter the fold through this offseason. Whether it’s a blockbuster move for a Bradley Beal, or maybe a more skilled center via trade, free agency will be something to keep an eye on.
