1. Toronto falls out of the Top 10.

This has an infinitesimal chance of happening, but it could still happen. The Raptors have a 1.4% chance at landing the No. 10 pick in the draft, and a percentage just slightly south of 0.1% chance at ending up with the No. 11 pick. We’ve seen crazier stuff happen.

While this draft class is talented, with difference-makers at every position, there is a huge drop-off in talent after the first five picks in this class. While a second-tier featuring names like Keon Johnson, Davion Mitchell, and Scottie Barnes is starting to form, Toronto would miss out on a chance to really change the scope of their rotation in the near future.

The Toronto Raptors could fall out of the Top 10 in the 2021 NBA Draft.

The Raptors might be better off trading their pick for an established starter if it falls that low, as that could help provide a more immediate return for a franchise that is clearly looking to get back in the win column with regularity following what was such an awkward season in Tampa.

The Raptors haven’t picked higher than ninth since they landed Jonas Valanciunas nearly a decade ago, so it’s perfectly OK to feel some nervousness with regards to where this pick may end up. All the fanbase can do is hope that the powers that be reward Toronto for their tough 2020-21 season.
