3. Doug McDermott

It would be a surprise to me if McDermott is not on a team within the first week of free agency. He can help any team in the league, especially the teams who are contending to win the NBA Championship.

He is known as a good three-point shooter. McDermott can get to the basket, but shooting from deep is his specialty. His career three-point percentage is 40.7%. McDermott can also play the power forward position in a pinch

Doug McDermott is a perfect bench piece for the Raptors.

That can be a benefit for the Raptors because of Pascal Siakam’s injury and the uncertainty of Chris Boucher. He is currently under contract. However, his contract right now is unguaranteed. McDermott could be a quality backup at the four while moving to the three spot in bigger lineups, as he can help the Raptors space the floor on offense.

Stats shouldn’t be a concern to McDermott because he doesn’t need the big numbers to make an impact on a game. He can be a difference-maker by hitting a couple of threes in a game if the Raptors are down by 10 or more points. He can do the same thing in a close game.
