The way things are going, Toronto might need to package their two second-rounders in order to move up if they really want Murphy. A transfer from Rice, Murphy has proven he can shoot the lights out for the Cavaliers, and that skill could pump up his stock.

Having drained over 41% of his 3-pointers, Murphy continues to rise up boards, as teams like the 76ers at No. 28 could be a very logical fit. If Philadelphia ends up passing over him, the Raptors should try to add him, as his ability to play several different spots could make him a Nurse favorite.

Trey Murphy could be a second-round steal for the Toronto Raptors.

Murphy has the ball-handling skills and shooting of a guard that is several inches shorter, while his willingness to duck into the post and operate from there makes him a potential candidate to line up at power forward in some ultra-small lineups. Nurse would have a field day creating packages that would allow him to cut it loose.

Acquiring Murphy needs a bit of finesse in order to actually pull off, as they would need to create a package that is attractive enough to warrant a trade. If they can make this happen, the Raptors will add a sharpshooter with an ideal skillset, and that could be what really gives the rotation some extra power.
