2. Chris Boucher

Boucher is a free agent at the end of this season, so if he wants to end up securing that long-term bag this offseason, he needs to play at a level similar to what he showed off during the Tampa stint. Unfortunately, he has not reached those same lofty heights despite being challenged by Nurse.

Boucher is shooting just 26.7% from the field to start the season. He has played in just 13 minutes over the last two losses to Chicago and Dallas, putting up a -10 in just five minutes on the floor against the Bulls. With the frontcourt devoid of shooters outside of him and an injured Pascal Siakam, those results are unacceptable.

Toronto Raptors forward Chris Boucher is struggling to shoot.

Boucher was legitimately a game-changer last season, as he shattered his old career-highs in scoring and became one of the best defensive bench players in the game. However, this is beyond a traditional slump, as he looks completely lost out there on the floor.

The Raptors shouldn’t necessarily lose faith in Boucher, as we have plenty of evidence that proves Nurse can get the most out of him and that he works in this system. Acknowledging that and taking into account his finger injury, Boucher needs to start shooting better than this to give Toronto an injection of adrenaline.
