1. Chris Boucher

Chris Boucher is getting a very difficult lesson in how fickle fans in the NBA can be. The same people who were singing his praises following a terrific 2020-21 season are now calling for him to be shipped out of town after a genuinely shocking regression on both ends of the floor.

Going from 13.6 points per game on 51% shooting to 5.9 points per game on 38% shooting is one of the most shocking regressions we have seen in some time. Boucher has only played 17 minutes in the last three games, including a DNP-CD against Memphis that proved Nurse’s irritation with No. 25.

Will Chris Boucher stick around for the Toronto Raptors?

A free agent at the end of this season, Boucher is not giving the Raptors a ton of reasons to resign him. At the very least, he could be a valuable trade chip, as some contending team may be enticed to take a flier on him to recapture that Tampa magic.

If that doesn’t happen, Boucher may find himself squeezed out of minutes when Birch comes back. With his declining block numbers showing that he isn’t the defensive stalwart many thought he was, his poor offensive stats may be the nail in the coffin that brings an end to his Toronto tenure.
